This weekend sees a managerial debut in the Premier League as Ruben Amorim takes charge of Manchester United for the first time.

After another poor run under previous manager Erik ten Hag, Ruud van Nistelrooy was placed in charge of the club on a temporary basis while Amorim arranged his departure from Sporting CP.

Kieran McKenna and Ipswich are the Portuguese's first opponents.

It seems Amorim has arrived at a decent time as Man Utd's injury issues are beginning to soften, with Luke Shaw, Kobbie Mainoo and Leny Yoro all in full training this week. It remains to be seen if one or any will be thrown into the starting XI.

Tyrell Malacia, Harry Maguire, Lisandro Martinez and Victor Lindelöf aren't fit.

Ipswich vs Man Utd Expected Lineups

Ipswich (4-2-3-1): Muric; Tuanzebe, O'Shea, Burgess, Davis; Morsy, Cajuste; Johnson, Hutchinson, Szmodics; Delap

Amorim likes to deploy a 3-4-3 formation so it will be very interesting to see how this Man Utd XI shape up. With so many defensive players not fully fit, we may see Casemiro drop into the centre of defence - a position he has played before both with United and with Real Madrid.

For his front three, Amorim needs to choose between Bruno Fernandes, Rasmus Hojlund, Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford.

Man Utd (3-4-3): Onana; De Ligt, Casemiro, Evans; Dalot, Ugarte, Mainoo, Mazraoui; Fernandes, Hojlund, Garnacho
