Ipswich faced one of the hardest possible starts to the new Premier League campaign as their first two fixtures were against Liverpool and Manchester City.

They lost both of those, but will hope to claim their first win of the season when they face Fulham, who have won one and lost one so far.

On the first day of the season, Ipswich faced the daunting task of Liverpool at home, and although they actually acquitted themselves well, particularly with their pressing high up the pitch, they lost 2-0.

They then took on champions Man City and actually took the lead early on, only to lose 4-1.

Midweek, they suffered a surprise elimination from the League Cup at the hands of Wimbledon, who progressed on penalties after a 2-2 draw.

Harry Clarke, George Hirst, Nathan Broadhead, Wes Burns and Janoi Donacien are all missing for Kieran McKenna's side.

Fulham recent form

Fulham lost on the opening day to Man Utd and were actually unlucky in that defeat as the Red Devils scored in the last minute after the Cottagers did enough to deserve a draw.

Marco Silva's men bounced back with a 2-1 victory at home against Leicester and then a 2-0 away win against Birmingham in the League Cup.
