Ipswich Town secured a vital point on the road in a 0-0 draw against Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium. Despite Brighton's dominance in possession, the Tractor Boys held firm and defended resolutely throughout the match. Kieran McKenna’s side displayed great defensive organisation, limiting Brighton's chances and frustrating their attack.

The match saw Ipswich ride their luck at times, with Brighton managing 21 shots to Ipswich's 6. However, Ipswich's solid defence and an inspired performance from goalkeeper Aro Muric were key to keeping a clean sheet and earning a valuable point against a top Premier League side.

Player Ratings

Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton, despite controlling the game with 70% possession, struggled to break down Ipswich’s defence. The Seagulls will be disappointed not to have taken all three points, especially considering their shot count and dominance on the ball.

Joel Veltman was Brighton's standout performer, earning a 7.6 rating for his defensive work, while Jan Paul van Hecke and Lewis Dunk were solid at the back with ratings of 7.3 and 7.2 respectively.

On the attacking side, Danny Welbeck and Yasin Ayari were below their usual standards, both earning 6.0 ratings, while Yasin Minteh also had a tough day on the wing with a 6.0 performance.

Despite these struggles, Brighton were kept out primarily due to Ipswich's defensive resilience and goalkeeper Aro Muric's brilliance.

Here are the player ratings for Brighton:

Ipswich Town

Ipswich Town showed tremendous character to hold on for a point. Aro Muric was easily the star of the show, pulling off crucial saves to keep Brighton at bay and earning a remarkable 8.7 rating. Axel Tuanzebe also put in a stellar performance at right-back, earning a 7.4, while Leif Davis shone at left-back with a 7.7 rating.

However, Ipswich's forward players struggled to make an impact, with the likes of Wes Burns and Omari Hutchinson both earning disappointing ratings of 5.0 and 5.4, respectively.

Nonetheless, the defensive effort was enough to secure a hard-fought point on the road.

Here are the player ratings for Ipswich:

Best Player of the Match

Aro Muric

Ipswich’s goalkeeper, Aro Muric, was undoubtedly the best player on the pitch. His outstanding 8.7 rating reflects his heroics between the sticks, making several key saves to ensure Brighton didn’t find the back of the net. His performance was instrumental in securing the draw for Ipswich.

Worst Player on the Pitch

Wes Burns

Wes Burns had a game to forget, registering a disappointing 5.0 rating. The winger was unable to influence the game, struggling both defensively and offensively, and was ultimately one of Ipswich’s weakest links on the day.
