Only three teams in the Premier League so far have won all three opening matches - Liverpool, Leicester, and Everton.

The signings of James Rodriguez, Allan, and Abdoulaye Doucoure have rejuvenated an Everton squad which looked largely bereft of creativity and flair last season, with the Colombian in particular taking to the English top flight like a duck to water.

The Toffees have defeated Spurs away, West Brom at home, and Crystal Palace away in the Premier League, while they have progressed in three straight rounds in the League Cup after beating Salford, Fleetwood, and then West Ham during the week.

Against the Hammers, Ancelotti named a strong team, but the win came at a price as both Richarlison and Allan came off with injury.

A large part of Everton's success in the league so far has been the consistency of starting XI, but the Italian may have to make a couple of alterations this weekend against Brighton.

Richarlison twisted his ankle in the game, but it is believed he could still start after scans revealed no serious damage. Allan, on the other hand, will probably miss out after suffering an abductor injury.

Fabian Delph will likely replace him in midfield.

Jonjoe Kenny was injured in that match, too, and he'll join Mason Holgate, Jarrad Branthwaite, Cenk Tosun and Jean-Philippe Gbamin on the sidelines.
