On-loan Liverpool winger Harvey Elliott is creating quite a buzz at Blackburn Rovers this season and continue to add to his burgeoning reputation as he scored a fine solo goal in a 2-1 loss against Norwich.
📷 Harvey Elliott: Match Snapshot
Elliot was one of the brightest players in the first half, although he was unable to inspire the opening goal from his side.
After eight minutes, he bent a left-footed shot just past the post as Rovers started well, while he also set up a big chance for Sam Gallagher midway through the opening period only for the striker to ha over. Norwich took the lead four minutes later.
⚽ ⏱️ 59' Elliott levels the match with a moment of wing wizardry. He collects the ball on the right flank, cuts inside the full-back, making a challenge impossible, then drives into the box, where he nutmegs another defender. From a tight angle, he finishes confidently.
Full of confidence, the winger thumps another effort at goal but it is saved. Shortly afterward, Teemu Pukki nets Norwich’s winner.
〽️ Harvey Elliott: Rating Week-on-Week
