Hakim Ziyech provided another two assists for his Chelsea team-mates on Saturday against Sheffield United, and he offered some insight into how he is able to communicate his intentions.

The Moroccan whipped in two fantastic crosses, one for Ben Chilwell and the other for Thiago Silva, with both defenders finding the net in a comfortable 4-1 win.

Ziyech also provided a sliderule through ball for Mateo Kovacic to set up Tammy Abraham's opener, and a stunning through pass found Timo Werner near the end but the German lobbed wide of the target.

And speaking to Chelsea TV afterwards, he explained how remains on his team-mates' wavelength in the match.

He said: "I always look at them before I play the ball. Usually eye contact is enough and you could see it worked well two times.

"You know they like it when we play the ball to feel so I saw [Mateo] Kovacic running into space and sometimes you have to give those balls because they don’t know what to do with them.

"It was the first time I tried it and we scored straightaway. I’m not afraid to give a pass. I feel comfortable here in the squad with all my team-mates. I’m really happy and I think that’s why I’ve started so well."
