While most sides in Europe are preparing for the European Championships, Gibraltar and Wales are preparing for an end-of-season friendly on Thursday.

In qualification for the tournament, Gibraltar lost every single games and finished rock bottom of Group B, while Wales agonisingly lost their playoff against Poland on penalties.

Gibraltar current form

Gibraltar are on a hopeless run of 13 competitive matches lost in a row.

You have to go back to a Nations League game against Bulgaria in June of 2022 to find the last competitive game in which they claimed at least a point.

Wales current form

Including the draw against Poland which they eventually lost on penalties, Wales are unbeaten in six competitive matches and in that run defeated Latvia, Finland and, impressively, Croatia.

Gibraltar vs Wales Team News

There are no fresh injury concerns for Julio Cesar Ribas so he may opt to start the same XI that held Scotland for nearly an hour recently, though expect plenty of changes in the second period.

As for Wales, Rob Page has already suggested that rotation is coming, so we could see the likes of Matt Baker, Jay Dasilva, Fin Stevens, Charlie Crew and Lewis Koumas given a first-team debut for their country.

Scoreline Prediction

Even though Wales will make changes, they will have to much against a hapless Gibraltar side.

Gibraltar 0-3 Wales

FAQs

What was the score the last time Gibraltar played Wales? In October of 2023, Wales defeated Gibraltar 4-0 in a friendly at home.
