Ferran Torres struck a famous hat-trick as Spain put Germany to the sword, recording a sensational 6-0 win in a match where it could easily have been more.
But how did Torres play overall?
📷 Ferran Torres: Match Performance
The Manchester City playmaker was on it from the very beginning and turned this into a night to remember both for him and his nation.
⚽ ⏱️ 33' The ball rebounds off Manuel Neuer's crossbar from close range and Torres gets his head over the strike, controlling it perfectly into the top corner from 10 yards.
⚽ ⏱️ 55' All the good work was done by left-back Jose Gaya, who stormed forward to cut the ball into the path of the 20-year-old, left with the straightforward task of rolling home.
⚽ ⏱️ 71' And just before being substituted, he steadied himself on the edge of the box and curled a tremendous finish across Neuer and into the far corner.
Torres, and Spain, were simply unplayable here, making a very good team appear distinctly ordinary in the process. As well as scoring three from his four shots on target, Torres also made a match-high 10 touches inside the area. It was an exemplary attacking display for a team that could now be Euro 2020 favourites.
