A record was broken in the Champions League on Wednesday. At the Santiago Bernabeu, Real Madrid demolished Galatasaray 6-0, and three of these goals were scored by 18-year-old Rodrygo, making him the youngest player in the history of the competition to record a hat-trick.

All of the goals were fairly different, highlighting the different attributes he possesses. The first was the best of the bunch and came within a few minutes as he cut inside from the right on to his left foot before whipping a low strike into the opposite corner. This was quickly followed up by a glanced header while standing completely unmarked inside the area.

In between his second and third, he turned provider by opportunistically winning the ball down the right wing before flashing a cross along the box for Karim Benzema to score.

Then, to become a record-holder, he drifted in behind the Galatasaray defence after a neat pass from Benzema to stab an accomplished finish past the keeper.
