Kevin De Bruyne set up Man City's opening goal in the weekend win over Crystal Palace, taking his assist tally to 10 for the Premier League season.

That puts him now just one behind previous runaway leader Harry Kane on 11. The Spurs striker has actually recorded just two assists from the start of December, and actually has more goals than assists now after scoring his 12th of the season against Sheffield Utd.

But, his exploits near the start of the campaign for Jose Mourinho's side still see him lead...just.

Another player closing the gap to Kane is Bayern's Thomas Muller, who recorded a goal as well as an assist at the weekend when the champions narrowly defeated Freiburg.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Roma overall didn't have the best of times in the Derby della Capitale as they were easily defeated by Lazio, but the Armenian remains the best assist-maker in Serie A so far with eight to his name.

Iago Aspas remains the only entry from La Liga on the leaderboard.

Going back to De Bruyne, and the Belgian is now joint 10th on the all-time list of Premier League assists alongside Teddy Sherringham on 76.
