Juventus will be without Leonardo Bonuncci, Giorgio Chiellini, and Merih Demiral for their Champions League clash against Ferencvaros this week.

The two Italian stalwarts at Juventus pulled out of the Italy squad last week and will miss several games for the Bianconeri, while Demiral is out for around 10 days with a muscle injury.

With just one fit, senior central defender available in Matthijs de Ligt, who only recently returned from injury at the weekend, Andrea Pirlo may have to switch from his usual 3-4-3 formation.

It seems likely that a 4-4-2 line-up may be adopted with Danilo being asked to step in as an auxiliary centre-back to partner De Ligt.

Alex Sandro could make his first Champions League appearance of the season at left-back, with Juan Cuadrado on the right.

Some good news for Juve is that Aaron Ramsey is available again after taking part in full training.

With either two-man forward line looking probable, Cristiano Ronaldo will likely partner Alvaro Morata in attack.

To give more protection to the untested backline, Pirlo may ask the Rodrigo Bentancur and Adrien Rabiot to sit deep and allow the front four including the wingers to barge forward.

Federico Chiesa and Dejan Kulusevski could be deployed on the wings.
