Cristiano Ronaldo showed his champion spirit by playing a leading role in Juventus' thumping 4-0 win over Parma on Saturday.

Earlier in the week, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner had missed a penalty against Atalanta in a disappointing draw, but he was twice on target for Andrea Pirlo's men as they moved to within a point of leaders AC Milan.

Here's how the night panned out for the legendary attacker.

Juventus get off to a great start, with Dejan Kulusevski giving them the lead midway through the first half before the Ronaldo show begins.

⏱️ 23' Alvaro Morata gathers possession on the left wing and is given time to pick out a cross. Ronaldo drifts into the space between two defenders and produced a gravity-defying leap that allows him to head Juve two clear.

⏱️ 48' The second half has just begun but the match is very nearly over. Juventus spring forward impressively after winning possession in midfield. Ronaldo is fed with a pass from Morata in the left channel. He has the strength to fend off a defender and the quality to fire into the corner.

Juventus score a fourth through man-of-the-match Alvaro Morata, Ronaldo having been taken off three minutes earlier to rest.

IMPROVEMENT

Ronaldo showed that his 6.3 FC Rating against Atalanta was no more than a blip.
