Ciro Immobile moved on to 34 goals for the league season on Sunday as Lazio demolished Hellas Verona 5-1, with two of his goals coming from the penalty spot.

Later than evening, Juventus would go on to win Serie A, but prior to that Lazio did all they could to maintain what slight pressure they had on the Bianconeri by comfortably defeating Verona.

Individual awards were also on the mind of one player as Immobile got back to his best to score three.

With two games remaining, he is three goals clear of Cristiano Ronaldo.

What was Immobile's overall display like?

As tends to be the case, the former Dortmund striker was usually just on hand as the finisher of the chances, and didn't spend too much wasted time trying to get involved in the play.

Lazio actually found themselves behind after Verona scored a penalty, but six minutes into injury time, the visitors equalised with a spotkick of their own.

⚽ ⏱️ 46' Immobile, who was involved in the situation which saw Lazio awarded the penalty due to a handball, stepped up to roll a precise finish into the bottom left corner to make it 1-1.

In between his next goal, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Joaquin Correa scored to make it 3-1.

The goal of the game would indeed be scored by Immobile, however, seven minutes from time.

⚽ ⏱️ 83' While he was helped to his hat-trick by two penalties, there was no element of luck for his second goal as he steps on to a pass from Jordan Lukaku to curl an absolutely beautiful finish across the box into the top right corner from the left of the area.

⚽ ⏱️ 94' The hat-trick goal came in the dying minutes via another emphatic penalty.
