Callum Hudson-Odoi capitalised on a rare start as he helped Chelsea to victory over Rennes on Tuesday evening

Take a look at the summary of the 20-year-old's performance below.

📷 Callum Hudson-Odoi: Match Performance

Hudson-Odoi was bright from the off in Brittany and should perhaps have had more than just a goal to show for his efforts.

A ⏱️ 4' A quick exchange of passes on the right frees Hudson-Odoi to tee up Timo Werner for a sitter but he somehow misses from close range.

⏱️ 22' Mason Mount's beautifully weighted ball over the top gets Hudson-Odoi away in behind and he shows excellent composure in finishing after standing up the keeper.

⏱️ 75' A good evening's work comes to an end as the 20-year-old is replaced by Hakim Ziyech.

Hudson-Odoi did his chances of starting more regularly no damage with his performance in France. The young winger turned his one shot into a goal, completed 91% of his passes, and would have had an assist but for a poor Werner finish.

Callum Hudson-Odoi: What Next?

Next up for Chelsea is a Stamford Bridge meeting with London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League. Ziyech will hope to make his return to the line-up for that one, but Frank Lampard could well have been swayed by Hudson-Odoi's performance here.
