Inter made it four wins in a row in Serie A as Nicolo Barella and Romelu Lukaku inspired a 3-1 comeback victory over Cagliari in Sardinia.
Fresh off the back of a catastrophic European exit in midweek, Inter maintained their Scudetto challenge in a game where only Cagliari goalkeeper Alessio Cragno kept the scoreline down.
✔️ GOOD PERFORMANCE
Lukaku was lampooned in midweek after he inadvertently blocked a late Alexis Sanchez header that would have put Inter through in the Champions League versus Shakhtar Donetsk.
On Sunday, he was back to his bulldozing best. He scored Inter's third goal with a lethal counter, while he also went close on numerous other occasions. He had four shots on goal and a game-high 12 touches in the box.
Cagliari only managed to stay ahead in this game for so long due to the heroics of their goalkeeper, who showed once again why he is ready to join a bigger club.
Cragno made an incredible eight saves in the match, with at least five of these of the highest order.
❌ BAD PERFORMANCE
When the former Liverpool defender entered the pitch with just over 20 minutes remaining, Cagliari were leading 1-0 and set for a famous victory.
But Klavan struggled to settle into the pace of the game. He won none of his duels and failed to organise a Cagliari backline that fell apart in the closing stages.
⭐ STAR MAN
Is there a better Italian player in circulation right now than Nicolo Barella? The 23-year-old is a force of nature in the middle of the park, covering every blade of grass and pushing his side to victory.
The indefatigable midfielder was once again decisive on Sunday. It took a truly special volley on 77 minutes from Barella to finally beat the inspired Cragno.
The pint-sized schemer then turned provided with a delightful cross to the back-post for substitute Danilo D'Ambrosio to head home the second goal. A superb footballer.
