Dortmund were in scintillating form on Saturday as they comfortably defeated Dusseldorf 5-0, with Reus scoring two and setting up another. He was deployed in the centre-forward position, and even though he drifted out to the wing every so often, it would be from the centre that he would twice find the back of the net. His first was a well-taken finish with his left foot, and the second was squeezed under the goalkeeper from close range. He assisted Jadon Sancho's goal with a pass inside from the line after some lovely interplay between the pair The BVB captain sent 41 passes into the final third and had 11 touches inside the opposition box.

An awesome leading-the-line performance from Andersson; not only did he contribute two invaluable goals in Union's easy win over a poor Koln side, but it was in his relentless physical battles with Koln's back line that made all the difference. Andersson won 23 duels and 18 aerials, easily the highest of the round in both categories, and, to coin a phrase, they just couldn't handle him in any capacity.

Like Reus, Sancho also scored a double and set up another goal in Dortmund's win. The Englishman twice benefited from superb work from his team-mates for his two goals, which were both expertly converted with a composed pass into the corner after balls in from the wing. His assist came for Thorgan Hazard, as he slid a pass down the left channel for the Belgian to run through and score. He sent more passes into the final third than anyone else in the Bundesliga on Saturday with 52, while he had the fourth-most touches of anyone with 112.

A third Dortmund player in a row now in the form of Hazard, which displays just how excellent the hosts were at the Westfalenstadion. It was the Belgian who scored their second of the night with a perfect finish curled into the bottom right corner after running into the area. He returned the favour to Sancho, who assisted, him, with an assist of his own from the right wing as he sent a low cross in for his team-mate to slot home. He sent four crosses into the box during his time in the game, as well as completed four dribbles.

Leverkusen's form has taken a bit of a bounce recently - five wins in six now - and Alario's virtuoso display in attack clinched victory over Schalke. Two well-taken goals from the Argentine settled a tight contest and Alario led the line well, winning nine duels and five aerials duels as Schalke's defence couldn't handle him. Alario hasn't always been a starter this season but this display is likely to lock him in position for the next few weeks.

HONOURABLE MENTIONS

Julian Brandt (9.1) the fourth member of Dortmund's explosive attack, just missed out on the top five, showing the depth of their dominance.

ROUND TO FORGET

Hoffenheim's Stefan Posch (4.9) had a torrid time against Timo Werner and RB Leipzig's awesome attack.
