Bruno Fernandes: Player Rating and performance v Sociedad

Bruno Fernandes was at his brilliant best as Manchester United took what should be a decisive step towards the last 16 of the Europa League by beating Real Sociedad 4-0 in Turin.

Fernandes scored either side of half-time in the comfortable victory, which should leave the return leg at Old Trafford a formality.

⚽ ⏱️ 27' Manchester United had created early chances but found Alex Remiro in strong form initially. Bruno, though, pounced of a terrible mistake from the goalkeeper as he chased a long Fred pass through. With the rearguard taken out, he rolled the ball into an empty goal.

⚽ ⏱️ 57' Bruno adds a brilliant second. After a clever dummy, he races onto Daniel James' first-time pass through to sweep a shot into the corner of the net from the edge of the box.

Bruno orchestrated his team until the end of the game. He should have had an assist, but Daniel James missed when clean through.

Bruno rarely allows his level to dip and consistently scores well. However, it doesn't get better than a 10 FC Rating. It was his second perfect score of the month, having done so against Southampton in the 9-0 rout.
