Bayern Munich continued their march towards another Bundesliga title in spectacular fashion after scoring no less than four goals immediately after going a man down against Stuttgart.

Hansi Flick’s reigning champions put on an incredible performance to win the match but which of Bayern’s key players was the most impressive?

✔️ Serge Gnabry: 7.8

After going a man down just 12 minutes into the game, Bayern desperately needed a moment of magic to turn the game in their favour before Stuttgart began to make use of their numerical advantage. It came just six minutes later from Serge Gnabry.

With space on the left to gallop down into the Stuttgart half, Gnabry broke down the wing entirely unopposed and swung a cross into the box to meet the outstretched leg of Robert Lewandowski to open the scoring.

Four minutes later the former Arsenal talent bagged a goal for himself after getting on to the end of a remarkable, one-touch counter attack that tore through a surprised Stuttgart defence.

❌ GONZALO CASTRO: 6.1

After going a man up early on, Stuttgart needed to show a tactical maturity to try and dominate the match and then a clinical touch in the final third to break down Bayern’s defence. They expected to get both from Gonzalo Castro and it simply didn’t happen at all.

Over the course of the game the playmaker managed just 23 passes into the final third and failed to create a single big chance for his team, despite their numerical advantage. It just wasn’t good enough.

Robert Lewandowski: 9.8

It seems as though a week can’t go by without Robert Lewandowski scoring a goal for Bayern Munich and on this occasion the Polish striker bagged a super hat-trick, despite the difficulties facing his side.

The Polish striker knocked his first goal into the back of the net just 18 minutes into the game and then doubled his lead just five minutes later when he got on the end of a cross to perfectly place his header into the far corner.

As if that wasn’t enough, the Poland international then latched on to a rebound on the edge of the Stuttgart box five minutes before the break and fired a shot into the bottom right corner of Gregor Kobel’s net to make it three on the day for his tally.

In a game that could have so easily caused Bayern all sorts of headaches, we instead saw the very best of Lewandowski and further proof of why he’s the best striker in the world.
