Jose Mourinho will recall Gareth Bale to the Tottenham starting XI for their Europa League match against Ludogorets on Thursday.

Spurs are coming off a superb 2-0 win against Manchester City at the weekend, but with them defending a lead against the Premier League runners-up for the majority of the game, the services of Bale were not required off the bench.

He is fresh and will start in Europe.

In attack he could be joined by the likes of Carlos Vinicius and Giovani Lo Celso, with the Argentine coming on in the second half against Man City.

Unfortunately for Tottenham they have one new injury concern within the squad, as Toby Alderweireld had to come off with injury on Saturday, which will likely mean a return to the starting line-up for Davinson Sanchez, who has been linked with a move away from the club in January.

With Joe Rodon not eligible to play and Japhet Tanganga still out injured, he'll partner Eric Dier in the heart of defence.

Matt Doherty is out with a positive coronavirus test which means Serge Aurier will continue at right-back, but Ben Davies will replace Sergio Reguilon on the other side.

Joe Hart will come in for Hugo Lloris in goal.

Harry Winks should be given a start, probably at the expense of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
