It's been a difficult couple of seasons for Everton with the club in consecutive relegation battles and even incurring a points deduction after breaching profit and sustainability rules.

The Toffees had struggled to win games of football and so were stuck in the lower reaches of the Premier League table.

However, fans of the club are now looking forward with hope and will be keen to see how the team performs next season.

Chance of a Reset

Everton were up against it under Frank Lampard while the defensive outlook of Sean Dyche meant the team could often only draw or would lose by the odd goal due to failing to find the net themselves in too many games.

However, the return of David Moyes saw the Toffees double their goal tally and climb well away from the relegation zone. Winning the Premier League Manager of the Month award for February, the Scot has had a huge impact back on the blue half of Merseyside.

Squad Build

It's an interesting time at Everton with plenty of scope to build an exciting team and if you want to play as the Toffees online and have a go at creating the ultimate Blues squad, you can buy EA FC accounts to explore different gaming experiences online.

Playing online with one of your favourite Premier League teams is the ultimate activity while chilling, allowing you to have fun by being out on the pitch in the virtual world while managing your own side.

New Stadium

Everton will bid farewell to Goodison Park, the stadium that has been the club's home since 1892, at the end of the season before moving into a brand new state-of-the-art stadium at Bramley Moore Dock ahead of the 2025/26 campaign. The 52,888-seater ground will boost revenue for the club which can be used to enhance the playing squad while the setting and new surroundings may enhance the Toffees' appeal to prospective players.

Key Players to Build Around

Everton have now moved on some dead wood on big wages that previously hindered their bank balance and now has a relative blank canvas to go again. England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford is a key player between the sticks, Jarrad Branthwaite is one of the top young defenders in the Premier League and Iliman Ndiaye has the skill and creativity to help the Blues in attack.

Despite the challenges of the recent past, Everton, one of the oldest and grandest clubs in England, now have the opportunity to challenge in the top half of the table.

Overall, Everton will be hoping to kick on after a difficult few years and start pushing for the top half and European qualification.
