Celta forward Iago Aspas was once again the star player in La Liga this weekend, outperforming some of the world’s best players in the process.

Although Aspas didn’t get on the scoresheet, his assist and more passes into the final third on the day proved more than enough to help Celta to a 3-1 victory over Granada and a rating of 9.7.

Joining Aspas in attack in this team of the week is Antoine Griezmann (9.3), who picked up a goal and assists against Osasuna, along with teammate Lionel Messi (8.5) after his stunning goal and tribute to Diego Maradona.

Barcelona’s comprehensive dismantling of Osasuna always afforded Philippe Coutinho (8) a spot in the team thanks to his goal from midfield. Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro (7.6) also joins the midfield following his combative performance against Alaves, along with Miguel Baeza (7.6) of Celta.

Atletico Madrid defender Stefan Savic (7.4) makes it into the team of the week defence following a clean sheet away to Valencia for his side, along with Jules Kounde (7.9) of Sevilla and Celta’s Lucas Olaza (7.9). Yet the star player in this week’s back line is Eibar defender Esteban Burgos (8.6) who earned a fantastic score after picking up a goal and an assist in his side’s 2-0 victory over Betis.

Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen (8.2) is the man between the posts this week after making five fantastic saves.
