"I'm angry" - Lampard vents his frustration after Chelsea give up chance to go second

Arsenal overcame the odds with a youthful side that ended up comfortably beating favourites Chelsea in the Premier League.

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has vented his frustration after watching his side lose 3-1 to Arsenal in the Premier League.

Ahead of the match Lampard’s side were considered strong favorites for the match due to the poor run of form Arsenal have been on lately and late calls off through injury and illness to a number of their key players.

However, Mikel Arteta’s youthful side played with some much-needed freedom and enthusiasm and made short work of a Chelsea team that often looked complacent at the Emirates Stadium.

When asked to describe his team’s performance, Lampard admitted he was ultimately at fault but expects a number of his players to take some of the blame too.

"It wasn't good enough. We fought in the second half but in the first half we gave ourselves too much to do. The players who came on added speed energy and intensity.

"I'll take responsibility on the outside but the players also have to take responsibility. The message was clear - Arsenal are a dangerous team. When you go out and play 60 or 70 per cent then you're not going to win any games

"I am angry because I want us to win games. It was an opportunity to go second. You get what you deserve."
