Borussia Monchengladbach's Alassane Plea might never have as good a game again in the Champions League given his remarkable performance against Shakhtar Donetsk.

The winger scored a hat-trick in a comprehensive 6-0 thumping of the Ukrainian outfit.

⏱️ 8' The winger swept home a smart finish from 12 yards out following a cross from Stefan Lainer down the right-hand channel. A really well executed finished from the 27-year-old, and this started the scoring for the Germans.

⏱️ 26' The goal of the game. Plea receives the ball from Lars Stindl just on the periphery of the penalty box and lets fly from distance as the ball crashes into the roof of the net to give Monchengladbach a 3-0 lead.

⏱️ 78' Plea completes his hat-trick following a well-worked move from the Bundesliga side, who cut through the home side with relative ease. Marcus Thuram slides the ball into the path of Plea, who makes no mistake from close range, rifling the ball into the bottom corner.
