With the Champions League and Europa League final stages set to take place in August, a proposed date of 12 September has been mentioned for the start of the 2020/21 Premier League season.
It has already been agreed that the quarter-finals of the Champions League and the Europa League will be played in a week in one location, with the former in Lisbon and the latter in Frankfurt.
Should any Premier League team go the distance in Europe, they are facing just a three-week break before the English top flight restarts in the proposed date in September.
Uefa are keen to minimise travelling within Europe for matches, hence the mini-tournaments taking place. However, there are still four matches to be played in the Round of 16 - Juventus v Lyon, Man City v Real Madrid, Bayern v Chelsea, and Barcelona v Napoli.
At the moment, these fixtures will be played as scheduled which means trips abroad for Lyon, Chelsea, Madrid, and Napoli.
