Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will undoubtedly look to freshen up his squad without compromising the need for all three points when they welcome Norwich to Anfield on Saturday.
The Reds are still hopeful of catching Manchester City before the end of the season and will have to ensure they can avoid any potential banana skins such as this weekend’s test to do so.
However, Klopp will also be wary of midweek games putting extra strain on his stars and will therefore look to bring in fresh legs for this tie.
For example, in defence we’ll likely see Ibrahima Konate and Andy Robertson drop out of the starting XI in favour of Konstantinos Tsimikas and Virgil Van Dijk, while Joel Matip and Trend Alexander-Arnold keep their typical spots.
After starting on the bench against Inter in midweek, Jordan Henderson should return to the starting XI, where he will partner Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita in a midfield trio for Liverpool.
Diogo Jota is likely to miss the game through injury, so Roberto Firmino will likely step in for the Portugal star, but it seems more than likely that neither Mohamed Salah or Luis Diaz will make way for Sadio Mane.
