Lukaku to start - How Chelsea could line up against West Ham

Due to a spell on the sidelines, Romelu Lukaku hasn't started a game for Chelsea since the middle of October

One of the biggest fixtures of the Premier League weekend sees Chelsea travel across London to face West Ham.

The Blues are currently riding high at the top of the table, one point clear of Manchester City in second and two points clear ahead of Liverpool in third.

They weren't at their best in their last fixture, as even though they ran out 2-1 winners against Watford, Thomas Tuchel admitted after the game that the Hornets deserved at least a point.

The German manager made a flurry of changes to his starting XI for that one, which means a few star names are set to return against West Ham.

Romelu Lukaku is in line for his first start for Chelsea since the middle of October. The Belgian has been out injured and has only made two substitute appearances since his return to full fitness, so now that he is getting more up to speed, expect him to lead the line.

Edouard Mendy will start in goal behind a likely back three of Andreas Christensen, Thiago Silva and Antonio Rudiger. Trevoh Chalobah picked up a knock against Watford and is a major doubt for West Ham.

There are also doubts over the fitness of Reece James as he sat out the Watford match entirely, which means Cesar Azpilicueta could be asked to play at right wing-back.

Jorginho should be fine to come back in, but with N'Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic not match fit, Ruben Loftus-Cheek could start again, with Marcos Alonso making up the midfield three at left wing-back.

Ben Chilwell remains a long-term absentee with a knee injury.

Mason Mount was Chelsea's man of the match against Watford, scoring a goal and recording an assist, so he will form part of the front three, with Kai Havertz also supporting Lukaku.
