The Derby della Madonnina between Inter and Milan takes place this weekend and it is sure to be one of the most fiercely contested in years as both sides remain in the title race in Serie A.

Currently, Napoli and Milan lead the way at the top of the table with 31 points from their opening 11 matches, with Inter down in third, seven points off the pace.

Any victory for the Nerazzurri would close that gap to four points.

Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi has the luxury of a fully fit squad to choose from for the derby.

Samir Handanovic will start behind a likely back three of Milan Skriniar, Stefan de Vrij and Alessandro Bastoni.

There could be a few midfield changes from the Champions League victory against Sheriff, with Denzel Dumfries, Hakan Calhanoglu and Ivan Perisic coming in for Matteo Darmian, Arturo Vidal and Federico Dimarco.

Calhanoglu, if he plays, will join a long list of players to have featured for both Inter and Milan in the derby.

Lautaro Martinez and Edin Dzeko will partner each other up top.

As for Milan, they have a few injury and fitness issues.

Mike Maignan is out so Ciprian Tatarusanu will continue in goal.

The Hernandez is suspended which means Fode Ballo-Toure might be selected in the back four alongside Simon Kjaer, Fikayo Tomori and Davide Calabria.

Franck Kessie was rested for Champions League duties during the week so he might return in place of Sando Tonali in midfield.

Alexis Saelemaekers, Brahim Diaz and Rafael Leao could support lone striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who will likely be restored to the starting XI in place of Olivier Giroud.
