How Juventus and Milan could line up in Serie A clash

It is only early in the new Serie A campaign but a poor start for Juventus means a win is vital against Milan

Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri will be hoping the Bianconeri can kickstart their Serie A season this weekend by claiming all three points against rivals Milan at the Allianz Stadium.

Juve had have a torrid start to the new campaign domestically, failing to win any of their opening three matches.

They did, however, secure an impressive away victory in the Champions League against Malmo during the week which could help boost their confidence heading into the clash against Milan.

Allegri should have influential winger Federico Chiesa back available after he missed the last two matches which could mean Juan Cuadrado dropping to right-back and Danilo going on the bench.

Wojciech Szczesny will start in goal behind a likely defence of Cuadrado, Leonardo Bonucci, Matthijs de Ligt and Alex Sandro.

Juve could go back to a 4-3-3 with Manuel Locatell, Rodrigo Bentancur and Adrien Rabiot in the midfield three.

Chiesa would then partner Alvaro Morata and Paulo Dybala in attack.

For Milan, they are missing influential striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic which could mean a starting berth for Olivier Giroud, who came off the bench to feature against Liverpool in the Champions League.

Mike Maignan saved a Mohamed Salah penalty in that game and he will once again start against Juve, with Davide Calabria, Simon Kjaer, Fiyako Tomori and Theo Hernandez in the back four.

Sandro Tonali was on the bench against Liverpool but came on, so he might start at the expense of Ismael Bennacer.

Should Giroud come in, it could be at the expense of Alexis Saelemaekers, with Ante Rebic moving deeper into the attacking midfield three alongside Brahim Diaz and Rafael Leao.
