Leroy Sane has praised Pep Guardiola for effectively "reprogramming" how he plays.
The 24-year-old was one of Guardiola's first signings when he became Manchester City boss in 2016, and eventually established himself as one of the most effective and devastating wingers in Europe.
He would ultimately leave the club in the summer of 2020 after turning down a new contract, with Bayern paying around €50m for his services to bring him back to Germany after he left Schalke.

Even though Sane rejected the opportunity to stay with City, he has positive words to say about how Guardiola developed him, especially tactically.
“In positional play, in the general perception of the entire game, in tactical behaviour both offensively and defensively - Guardiola downright reprogrammed me,” Sane told Kicker.
“It's the simple movements that make you think, 'Oh, never'. But when you implement them, you realise very quickly that Guardiola is right. What he advises helps a lot, it makes the game easier and faster.
"Tactics are the most important thing to him.”
Sane revealed that it was not a desire to return to his homeland or a feeling that he had won everything possible at City which made him request a move, but simply that he was ready for a new challenge.
“It was not anything about Man City or anything else – that we’d now won everything or that I’d now lost the hunger or anything like that,” he previously said after signing for Bayern.
“It was just me personally. I just had a feeling and that’s why I came to this decision.
“Obviously we won a lot in these four years but Bayern Munich also won a lot! I just had a personal feeling for myself.”
In the 2019/20 season, Bayern won a historic treble after claiming the Bundesliga, the Champions League, and the DFB-Pokal.
