Jurgen Klopp says that when he eventually leaves Liverpool he won't manage another club right away.

The former Dortmund boss has been in charge of the Reds since 2015 and led them to Champions League glory in 2019 as well as their first ever Premier League title at the conclusion of the 2019/20 campaign.

As Liverpool begin their first title defence in 30 years, Klopp and his players are more focused than ever, but what about when his tenure at Anfield ends?

After initially taking umbrage about a question regarding his future, the German says he plans to take a long holiday.

"A lot of people ask me this question. I have never heard someone ask Pep Guardiola about that but his contract ends next year," he said on Leeroy Matata's YouTube channel.

"I've got four years left which feels like an eternity in football. A lot can happen during this time. I would assume that in four years I will think about whether to renew or not.

"If I don't renew, I'll go on holiday. When I leave Liverpool, I won't take a new job the next day. That's for sure. I will take a one-year break after Liverpool."

Liverpool commenced their 2020/21 season on Saturday in an entertaining 4-3 victory against Leeds.
