Liverpool trio Jordan Henderson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Sadio Mane have all been shortlisted for the Premier League Player of the Year award.
After a stellar campaign, Jurgen Klopp’s side finally won their first top division title in 30 years, finishing well clear of second-placed Man City, with the aforementioned three players all playing a pivotal role.
Henderson has already won the Football Writers’ Player of the Year award.
It is thought to be between the Liverpool captain and Kevin De Bruyne to claim the 2019-20 POTY, as although the Belgian came up short in the title race with City, he has been in sensational form, equalling Thierry Henry’s record of 20 assists recorded in a single campaign.
The other nominees are Golden Boot winner Jamie Vardy, Nick Pope, and Danny Ings.
As for the Young Player of the Year, Manchester United have dominated the nominations, with Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Mason Greenwood and Sheffield United loanee Dean Henderson all up for the honour.
Alexander-Arnold is nominated for both awards, and he is joined by Mason Mount and Christian Pulisic of Chelsea, as well as Jack Grealish, who helped Aston Villa retain their Premier League status on the final day of the season.
