The 30-year-old was in fine form again here, dictating play in midfield and making late runs into the box as has become his trademark this term.

Dortmund had given everything to keep City at bay after taking the lead but their good work was undone with a moment of madness from Can.
Only the German will know what he was thinking in clumsily handling as he attempted to head the ball clear to give the visitors a penalty that effectively decided the tie.

The scorer of City's crucial second in the first leg, Foden repeated the trick in this tie to send his boyhood team into the last four with a sensational strike from the edge of the box.
The Englishman has truly come to the fore this season to deservedly claim a regular place in one of Europe's top teams.
