Daley Blind, the former Netherlands international and Ajax legend, has stated that he is 'worried' about Donny van de Beek's current role at Manchester United.

The Dutchman was once again on the bench as PSG came to Old Trafford and won 3-1, to leave the Red Devils requiring a result against RB Leipzig on the final matchday to progress to the knockout stages.

He has made just one Premier League start so far under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after his £40m summer move, and the Dutch media are monitoring his situation with concern, with him arriving into the action just for the last 11 minutes.

Speaking to Dutch TV channel Ziggo Sport, Blind was keen to point out that VDB's finest attributes are not compatible with the coaching style of Solskjaer.

Blind said: "I'm worried about Donny [Van de Beek]. [Ole] Solskjaer is a conservative coach.

"He wants to have players in midfield who stay and do not leave. Donny is not such a player. He likes to be on the move."

The man who was selected ahead of Van de Beek in the match, Fred, was sent off in the second half as a Neymar double was enough to keep PSG's dreams of qualifying alive.
