Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta hopes his team's unexpected win over Chelsea will be a turning point in their poor start to the season.
Arteta’s side were without key players like Willian, David Luiz and Gabriel through injury and illness and as such the Arsenal manager was forced into playing a number of young and untested players.
However, it ended up being a blessing in disguise as a youthful exuberance overcame Arsenal and surprised a Chelsea side that were strong favourites to win the tie.
Arteta's side were sitting fifteenth in the league table ahead of Saturday's result after just four victories in their first 14 games.
Yet the Arsenal manager now hopes such a result and performance can turn things around at the Emirates Stadium.

"It was a really big win for us," the Arsenal manager told Sky Sports. "We were really disappointed and frustrated with the results, but not so much the performances.
"The players were suffering, our fans were suffering and today at least in a special way - on Boxing day to play in a London derby - and winning the way we have done.
"Hopefully this is a turning point and it will elevate the level of confidence in the team because I know that they can play at this level.
"It just comes down to how consistent we are throughout the game to sustain that level and how consistent we are in games to maintain it.
"We knew how good Chelsea are but in big moments of the game we were the better team."
