Lyon win remarkable fifth straight Champions League title
Lyon have won the Champions League for the fifth season in a row after overcoming Wolfsburg 3-1 in the final in San Sebastian.
Goals from Eugenie le Sommer and Saki Kumagai put Lyon 2-0 up and half-time, and although Wolfsburg clawed one back through Alexandra Popp, Lyon's two-goal lead was eventually restored in the dying minutes as Sara Bjork Gunnarsdottir scored the third.
Lyon hold the record for the most Champions League wins with seven, with the club nearest to that tally being Eintracht Frankfurt who have won it on four occasions.

Their ascent to become the most dominant force in women's football has been swift as they have won each of the last five tournaments.
It was the third time in five years that they had also defeated Wolfsburg in the final.
Like the men's tournament, the winner was decided via a mini-tournament of straight knockout matches in the latter stages, with Lyon overcoming Bayern and then Paris Saint-Germain in the quarter and semi finals to reach the final at Real Sociedad's Anoeta.
In a rare scene at the end of the match, Lyon's Gunnarsdottir actually received a medal both as a winner and as a runner-up, having signed for the French outfit from Wolfburg during the 2019/20 campaign.
