How Inter could line-up versus Gladbach

Antonio Conte will be forced to shuffle the pack in the middle of his midfield for the Champions League fixture against Gladbach due to the absence of the suspended Arturo Vidal.

Against Real Madrid a week ago, the former Barcelona midfielder took umbrage at not being awarded a penalty, subsequently confronting the referee. He was booked for his reaction, but he kept going, and was booked again.

Marcelo Brozovic hasn't played since 8 November after testing positive for coronavirus, but Inter have received a boost in the last couple of days after he successfully recorded a new, negative test.

That means he'll be available for the Gladbach game, and could actually come right into the starting XI to replace Vidal.

Against Sassuolo at the weekend, Inter impressively won 3-0 away from home.

Alexis Sanchez started that one and scored, but he'll drop out of the starting XI for Champions League duties, with Romelu Lukaku likely to return after being rested.

Achraf Hakimi and Ashley Young didn't start that one, either, so should be fresh to feature against the Germans.

Daniele Padelli and Aleksandar Kolarov are still in quarantine and would need to test negative for the virus before being allowed to feature.

Matias Vecino is still out injured.
