Paul Pogba will remain a Manchester United player this summer and will likely sign an extended contract with the club, according to the player's agent Mino Raiola.

In the first half of the season, the Frenchman didn't play too much football for United due to injuries, but rumours circulated at the time that he had asked to leave the club for a new challenge, with both Real Madrid and former club Juventus making their interest known.

However, since the turn of the year, and crucially the arrival of Bruno Fernandes as a partner in midfield, Pogba has cut a more satisfied figure at Old Trafford, reportedly encouraged by the progress the team has made in 2020.

Madrid and Juve are still interested, with new head coach of the Bianconeri Andrea Pirlo keen on a reunion with his former team-mate.

However, it looks like Pogba is going nowhere anytime soon.

“Pogba is a key player for Man United," Raiola told Sky Sports Italia.

"They’ve got an important project and he’s 100% included. Man United will not accept any bid to sell Pogba.

"We’re going to speak about a new contract soon, no stress.”

United finished fourth in the Premier League this season and reached the semi-final of the Europa League, eventually being knocked out by tournament champions, Sevilla.
