West Ham have completed the signing of Tomas Soucek from Slavia Prague for a fee of around €21m.

The 25-year-old joined the London side in January on loan, as David Moyes looked to bolster his midfield for the second half of the campaign.

Lockdown Interrupted his stay and any momentum gained, but since the Premier League recommenced he has been key in helping West Ham evade relegation.

He has scored three goals in that time in the 3-2 win versus Chelsea, the 2-2 draw versus West Ham, and most recently the 3-1 versus Watford which all-but-confirmed the Hammers’ status in the English top-flight.

It was the draw against Manchester United which mathematically ensured their safety, and it was them staying in the league which triggered a clause in the loan contract of Soucek to make the move permanent.

His recent performances have earned him an overall 82 FC Rating.

Prior to signing for West Ham this season, Soucek was part of an impressive Slavia Prague side who unluckily found themselves in a group alongside Inter, Dortmund, and Barcelona in the Champions League,

They were knocked out, but still earned extremely admirable draws at the San Siro and Camp Nou.

He has signed at deal at the London Stadium until 2024.
