Milan remain on the summit of Serie A after a Zlatan Ibrahimovic-inspired 3-1 away at Napoli kept them on top of Serie A through week eight.
Ibrahimovic scored twice, the first a wondrous header from nearly outside the area, to mean the Rossoneri have won six and drawn two of their opening eight matches to sit on 20 points.
They are two clear of Sassuolo, who are also still unbeaten after their confident 2-0 win at Verona, Jeremie Boga and Domenico Berardi on target.
And Juventus are ominously gathering pace in behind, after Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice in a win over Cagliari. They too remain unbeaten but have drawn four of their eight matches so far.
Roma are sandwiched in between Juve and Sassuolo, continuing their excellent start to the campaign. Henrikh Mkhitaryan made it five goals in just two games with another double in a home win against Parma.
It remains tight at the top. Inter had to once again come back from a slow start, Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez inspiring a second-half comeback against Torino to eventually win 4-2, but the Nerazzurri still aren't convincing.
Napoli, Lazio and Atalanta are all on 14 points, just six off the summit at this early stage.
At the bottom of the table, Crotone's difficult time in Serie A continues after they were defeated by Lazio, while Genoa and Torino are seriously struggling to put any kind of result together.
