Real Sociedad have gone to the top of La Liga after a late 1-0 victory against Mallorca on Saturday evening.

In what proved to be a tight affair at the Reale Arena, the home side had to rely on a 91st minute strike from Julen Lobete to earn all three points.

The Basque outfit now lead Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid by three points.

The two capital clubs have had their fixtures for this weekend postponed due to having players arrive back lake from South American international matches.

In the other Saturday game, Levante drew 0-0 at home against Getafe.

The biggest match of the weekend sees Barcelona face Valencia at Camp Nou on Sunday.

Remaining Sunday fixtures:

Rayo v Elche

Celta v Sevilla

Villarreal v Osasuna

Barcelona v Valencia

Remaining Monday fixtures:

Alaves v Betis

Espanyol v Cadiz
