It was a good weekend for two of Europe's most exciting young forwards as Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland both scores two goals for PSG and Dortmund respectively.
PSG defeated Montpellier with a healthy 4-0 victory, but Haaland's efforts were in vain for Dortmund as they lost 4-2 against rivals Gladbach.
Both Mbappe and the Norwegian have scored 14 goals this season which puts them on 28 points.
Unfortunately for them, the leader in the European Golden Shoe standings, Robert Lewandowski, also scored at the weekend as Bayern beat Schalke 4-0. That goal took his tally to a ludicrous 23 goals this season, which puts him 16 points ahead of his nearest challenger.
His nearest challenger, Cristiano Ronaldo, was on a winning team at the weekend as Juve emerged victorious over Bologna, but he recorded an assist for Arthur in that game rather than a goal.
Andre Silva's recent superb form continues as he netted two for Eintracht Frankfurt against Arminia Bielefeld.
Ciro Immobile, meanwhile, is now on the leaderboard after scoring seven goals in his last eight games.

At this stage of the season, the leagues that run on the calendar year - ie 2020 - inevitably get a head start but these days with the league weightings, very few are still there by the end of the traditional 2020/21 campaign.
A reminder: The five elite leagues - Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1 - all carry a weighting of 2, meaning that a player will be awarded two points for every goal they score in these competitions.
For the leagues ranked sixth to 30 in Uefa's coefficients rankings goals scored are given a weighting of 1.5, and goals scored in a league outwith the top 30, goals are given a weighting of 1.
