5. Rodri ROCKET

Rodri isn't known for his goalscoring, but that doesn't mean he can't pack a punch from that cultured right foot. In Manchester City's win against Burnley, the Spaniard scored the third of the game to take it beyond the Clarets with a superb strike right on the edge of the box. As the ball bounces perfectly in front him, he cuts across it on the half-volley taking it into the roof of the net past the goalkeeper, who can't react in time due to its pace.

4. ALLEZ ALLI

Dele Alli has been in outstanding form since the appointment of Jose Mourinho at Spurs, and continued his goalscoring spree in the defeat against Manchester United. VAR may have curbed the celebrations somewhat initially, but the goal was eventually given. The ball is looped high into the area inside the United box with Alli eyeing it all the way before touching it, first-time, over a couple of heads before sending a half-volley past David de Gea. The beauty of this ones comes from the huge height at which the ball falls, with him still pulling a magical touch from nowhere.

3. CHELSEA TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK

Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount are striking up quite the partnership which isn't just good news for Chelsea, but the England team. Their telepathy was never more evident than the game against Aston Villa as Abraham held off the attentions of his marker to first-time chest into the path of his team-mate, who smashed a volley high into the net before the goalkeeper knew what was happening.

2. SHAQ ATTACK

Xherdan Shaqiri may have finished this move off with a nice finish, but the brilliance of this goal comes from what came previous. Trent Alexander-Arnold picks out a glorious diagonal from right to left for Sadio Mane, who collects with a couple of magical touches before sliding an eye-of-the-needle pass through to the Switzerland international to score. An outstanding team goal which sums up the fluidity of Liverpool at the moment.

1. OUTRAGEOUS ORIGI

The best goal of this midweek round of action came from Divock Origi in Liverpool's 5-2 win over Everton in the Merseyside Derby. The Belgian scored two on the night, but it was his second that made everyone cheer and applaud that little bit more at Anfield. Dejan Lovren brings possession out from the back before clipping a ball over the top of the Everton defence for Origi who, in one motion, takes it down with an outstanding touch before lobbing a finish over the oncoming Jordan Pickford.

HONOURABLE MENTIONS

Sadio Mane was the man of the match in Liverpool's game, scoring a goal of his own with a fantastic curled finish into the left corner from the edge of the box after a sweeping counterattack from the Reds.

Cristian Battocchio scored a hat-trick for Brest, and his second was a cracker sent arrowing into the top right corner.
