5. DUNK TRICKS THE REDS

In one of the more innovative free-kicks you will see, Lewis Dunk takes advantage of the referee blowing his whistle and the fact that sub keeper Adrian had only just came on to side-foot the set-piece straight into the corner of the net as the Liverpool players tried to organise themselves. Clever, and well executed.

4. ODEGAARD CURLS A CRACKER

The Norwegian wonderkid is getting better with every week that passes, living up to the reputation that preceded him when Real Madrid picked him up at 16. Against Eibar he was the creative force and rounded off the victory in style, collecting the ball on the edge of the area and turning quickly to curl his effort into the far top corner in style.

3. SCHICK MAKES IT STICK

Schick's loan move to RB Leipzig hasn't exactly worked out so far but in his first start for the German side he got off to the perfect beginning. He collects Timo Werner's pass into his feet and in one beautiful movement he swivels, leaving the defender for dead, and dinks his finish beautifully over the advancing keeper and into the far corner. A lovely, highly technical finish.

2. GREALISH STAKES HIS CLAIM

It seems to be only a matter of time before Jack Grealish is able to establish himself in the England squad if he keeps turning in star performances for Aston Villa, and he showed the very best of his technique at Old Trafford against Man Utd. From the left wing he cuts inside and the arc on his curling shot is utterly perfect, dipping at the perfect moment to leave David De Gea stranded.

1. WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT KEVIN

No-one hits the ball as well as Kevin De Bruyne. He has next-level technique and he showcased all of it with one of the sweetest strikes of the season against Newcastle. Chesting the ball down in front of himself, he then caught it on the rise and walloped his effort in off the underside of the crossbar at immense speed. A truly wonderful hit, and a shame it didn't prove to be the winner.

HONOURABLE MENTIONS

Jonjo Shelvey's cracking leveller for Newcastle is unfortunate to miss out on the top five, while Lionel Messi was being Messi again, with a late winner to down Atletico Madrid.
