Manchester United have already secured top spot in Group F and as such new manager Ralf Rangnick will likely use this week’s Champions League clash with Young Boys to test a number of his lesser used squad players.

Rangnick has opted for a narrow 4-2-2-2 formation, which means we’ll likely see a midfield duo of Scott McTominay and Nemanja Matic, with the latter stepping in for Fred. In front of them we could see a rare start for Donny van de Beek, alongside Jesse Lingard in two No.10 roles.

Up front we can expect to see Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford get dropped in favour of Mason Greenwood and Anthony Elanga, as Rangnick gives both fringe players an opportunity to prove their worth in front of goal.
