Wolves winger Pedro Neto is fast establishing himself into one of the most exciting young players in the Premier League.

This season, the 20-year-old has been one of the breakout stars in England with his electrifying performances at Molineux.

In his last seven matches, he has scored three goals and registered two assists.

He has demonstrated that he is a player for the big occasion. He scored the opener against Arsenal, the winner versus Chelsea and on Sunday grabbed the late assist for Romain Saiss’s equaliser against Tottenham.

In total this campaign in all competitions, Neto has an impressive seven goals and three assists in 19 games.

He has already surpassed the five goals he managed in the entirety of last season.

When Neto joined Lazio from Braga in 2017 as a teenager, he was branded as one of Europe’s most exciting youngsters.

But he was never given a chance by Biancocelesti coach Simone Inzaghi, who deemed him too young and unsuitable for his 3-5-2 system.

Lazio’s loss has been Wolves’ gain as after a modest first season in England last year, he has now emerged as a wonderful player to watch.

All of his key statistics have soared compared to last season. He is managing one key pass a game (up from 0.58), 1.9 shots per 90 minutes (up from 0.76), 3.3 crosses (up from 1.51) and 5.1 dribbles (up from 2.7).

His defensive game is also much improved with significantly more challenges, air challenges and tackles each game.

It is no surprise that he made his Portugal national team debut last month, scoring against Andorra. Don’t bet against him going to Euro 2021 and making his mark there, too.
