Germany will be without influential forward Thomas Muller for the final match of Group F in the European Championship against Hungary.

The Bayern star was recalled to the national squad for Euro 2020 by Joachim Low and played a key part in the opening two games - a loss versus France and a victory over Portugal.

However, Muller picked up a knee injury in training which could see him miss not only the last group game but potentially the first knockout game.

Should Germany reach the quarter-finals, he should be fit by then.

Germany blew Portugal away on Saturday evening with a 4-2 victory, but after losing their first game to France they are by no means guaranteed progression which will force Low into playing a strong side.

At the moment, they are second in the group on three points.

Manuel Neuer will of course start in goal in front of the three-man backline of Mats Hummels, Mathias Ginter and Antonio Rudiger.

Hummels suffered a knock in training but is thought to be fit enough to start.

Flying wing-back Robin Gosens was superb against Portugal, scoring one and assisting another, will start on the left with Joshua Kimmich on the right.

Toni Kroos will likely partner Ilkay Gundogan in the centre again, though Leon Goretzka will be pushing for a midfield spot after coming on against Portugal.

With Muller out of contention, we will probably see his Bayern team-mate Leroy Sane given a start, though Timo Werner is another option.
