Spain head coach Luis Enrique is set to name almost an unchanged starting XI from the win versus Slovakia for La Roja's knockout tie versus Croatia.

Against Slovakia Spain put in by far their best performance of Euro 2020 so far as they won 5-0 thanks to two own goals plus three goals scored by Aymeric Laporte, Pablo Sarabia and Ferran Torres.

That was was the first appearance of the tournament for Sergio Busquets who was unavailable for the first two groups matches following a positive Covid-19 test.

The Barcelona midfielder was influential on his return versus Slovakia and will once again anchor the midfield against Croatia.

Unai Simon will start in goal.

At right-back Cesar Azpilicueta will likely retain his place ahead of Marcos Llorente, though there could be a change at centre-back with Pau Torres coming back in to replace Eric Garcia.

Jordi Alba, who has two assists to his name so far in the competition, will start at left-back again.

Pedri and Koke will probably feature in central midfield alongside Busquets, though Thiago is pushing for a start after doing well off the bench against Slovakia.

Pablo Sarabia was drafted into the starting XI for the last match and impressed for Spain by getting on the scoresheet so he will start again with Gerard Moreno on the opposite flank.

Alvaro Morata has spoken this week about the online abuse he has received from so-called fans during Euro 2020 due to his performances.

He missed a penalty against Slovakia, but Enrique clearly has faith in the Juventus striker, so he will start again.
