Hansi Flick urges Bayern 'to seal the deal' and clinch Bundesliga

Bayern head coach Hansi Flick wants his team to wrap up the Bundesliga title at the earliest available opportunity, as they prepare to face Werder Bremen on Tuesday.

The defending champions are currently seven points clear of Dortmund in second meaning that with just three games remaining, they will win the league should they defeat Bremen, who are fighting for their lives in the relegation zone.

The key moment in the title race arrived two weeks ago, when Bayern secured a narrow 1-0 victory against Dortmund in Der Klassiker thanks to a goal from Joshua Kimmich.

It has been perfection from the Bavarians since the Bundesliga recommenced as they have won all seven games in a row, and Flick is keen for them to get over the line.

He said: "The target is to win again in Bremen. We want to just seal the deal.

“We are on an excellent run and want to continue our winning streak,"

His comments were echoed by midfielder Leon Goretzka, who scored the vital winning goal against Gladbach on Saturday.

“We want to win away to Bremen and settle it there,” the former Schalke man said.

Bayern are still competing on three fronts this season, with a DFB-Pokal final versus Leverkusen on the horizon as well as a Champions League last-16 second leg clash against Chelsea still to navigate.
