Football You Missed, 28 Jan: Neymar pays tribute to Kobe Bryant

On Sunday, 26th January 2020, the world lost one of its biggest sporting names as Kobe Bryant lost his life in a helicopter crash in California - a crash which claimed the lives of eight others including his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna. The tributes quickly poured in for the former LA Lakers star, who won five NBA championships in his 20-year career.

Plenty of footballers took to social media to pay tribute, but with Neymar not taking to the field until after the news broke, he signalled the number 24 with his fingers after scoring a penalty versus Lille - the number famously worn by Bryant in his illustrious career.

IT'S GETTING HOT IN HERE

The Superliga Argentina recommenced recently after the summer break, but that doesn't mean things aren't still toasty on the pitch, and indeed in the gantry. Here, we see two commentators, two older gentlemen, stripping off to their bare chests to combat the heat. Can't really imagine Gary Neville and Martin Tyler following the trend anytime soon.

BORE OFF, PIERS

Professional troll Piers Morgan took to Twitter on Sunday to complain that the 'magic' of the FA Cup was not present even though Shrewsbury earned a superb 2-2 draw against Liverpool after being two goals down. He reckons that, because Jurgen Klopp fielded a weakened team in the Cup again, then it wasn't that big of an achievement for the League One side. After seeing his tweet, they sent him the the below response:
