Best Team Performances, Dec 3: Talleres awesome in Argentina

The best performance to be found this weekend was from Superliga Argentina side Talleres, who impressively won 5-0 away from home versus Godoy Cruz. The two stars were Franco Fragapane (8.4), who scored two, and Dayro Moreno (9.2) who assisted three of the goals. They probably should have scored more, as they had 21 attempts in total including 14 on target, with 59% possession earned, too. They were ahead of Godoy Cruz in pretty much every department, with more passes, more touches, more tackles, and more interceptions.

Alanyaspor bounced back from consecutive defeats to Trabzonspor and Goztepe in emphatic fashion as they demolished MKE Ankaragucu 5-0, with Djalma Campos (10) the star of the show, netting a brilliant hat-trick as well as assisting Anastasios Bakasetas (9.1), who also scored two. As a team, they fired 19 shots on goal but surprisingly surrendered 51% of possession to the visitors, who didn't do anything with the ball when they had it. They battled harder, though, winning more tackles and aerial duels, and making more interceptions.

Benfica maintained their lead at the top of the Portuguese top-flight after a comfortable 4-0 win against Maritimo, with Carlos Vinicius (10) continuing his upturn in form by scoring three goals. LIke Alanyaspor above, they surrendered the majority of possession to their opponents, only to be more deadly in front of goal when it mattered. In all attacking areas, they were better than Maritimo, with more crosses, more long balls, more corners, and eight more shots on target.

Willem II have enjoyed one of the most impressive campaigns this season in the Eredivisie, and kept fourth place after beating Sparta 4-0, with Che Nunnelly (8.7), Mike Ndayishimiye (8.6), Freek Heerkens (8.2), and Mats Kohlert (7.4) all getting on the scoresheet. They would have scored more if not for opposition goalkeeper Ariel Harush, as they seven shots on target in total. The hosts bossed the game in pretty much every area, with more passes, touches, and crosses.
